PERTH, Australia – Front-end engineering design continues for Persephone, the next major offshore development in Australia’s North West Shelf.

According toWoodside, this will involve a subsea tieback to the North Rankin production complex. A final investment decision is due later this year.

Elsewhere in this region, fabrication and pipelay has been completed for the Greater Western Flank Phase 1 project, and Woodside expects all subsea installations to be completed by 4Q.

The project remains on schedule for start-up in early 2016.
