Vienna –OMV made a discovery with production potential of 1,500 to 2,000 boe/d in the Black Sea off Romania in exploratory well Marina 1 in the Istria XVII block.
The company plans to assess the well’s commercial viability in the coming months to develop and start production from the new reservoir. If the discovery is commercially viable, the company could start production in the next three to four years.
