HHI platforms to triple production from Nasr field offshore UAE

ULSAN, South Korea – Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has a letter of award from ADMA-OPCO for a $1.94-billion contract for the Nasr oil field, 130 km (81 mi) northwest of Abu Dhabi.

HHI will perform engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning work for a complex comprising a gas treatment platform, a separation platform, and accommodation platform.

Additionally, the contractor will lay 144 km (89 mi) of subsea power and 55 km (34 mi) of infield cables, and modify an existing manifold tower and two wellhead towers on the field.

Following completion of the program by the second half of 2019, the facilities are expected to increase Nasr’soil production capacity from the present 22,000 b/d to 65,000 b/d.
