Trio to jointly develop Ophir field offshore Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Petronas has awarded Ophir Production a small field risk service contract (SFRSC) for development of the Ophir field offshore Peninsular Malaysia.

Ophir Production is a joint venture between Octanex, Scomi D&P, andPetronas subsidiary Vestigo Petroleum. The latter specializes in small and mature fields.

Under the terms of the contract, Petronas is the project owner and Ophir Production is the contractor.
