PNEC sets record for attendees, exhibitors

HOUSTON – The 18th International Conference on Petroleum Data Integration, Information and Data Management attracted a record number of more than 700 oil and gas industry professionals from 34 countries. The event, in Houston from May 20-22, saw over 4,600 sq ft (427 sq m) of sold-out hall space occupied by 43 exhibitors.

The two-and-a-half day of technical program featured 48 technical presentations and a panel on topics involving E&P data and information management. Speakers from around the globe shared real-world issues, best practices, developments, and cross-discipline advances that addressed ever-expanding and complex data demands in today's oil and gas industry.

"The nearly 25% increase in attendance is a good indication of the need for this type of event," said Mark Peters,Offshoregroup publisher and vice president. "During two and a half days of conference sessions and a concurrently running exhibition hall, attendees had the opportunity to network with each other, ask questions, share knowledge, and compare best practices and lessons learned for a specialized and important discipline in oil and gas industry."

The 19thInternational Conference on Petroleum Data Integration, Information and Data Management will be held in Houston from May 19-21, 2015, at the Houston Marriott Westchase Hotel. The new venue will feature an additional 50% of exhibit hall space. "Already, 82% of the exhibitors have booked their space onsite for the 2015 event,” Peters said. “It promises to be another great year."
