Drilling progresses at South Pars Phase 13 offshore Iran

The first train of the gas processing plant for the South Pars Phase 13 in the Persian Gulf should be onstream within the next nine months, according to Iranian news service Shana.

TEHRAN, Iran – The first train of the gas processing plant for the South Pars Phase 13 in the Persian Gulf should be onstream within the next nine months, according to Iranian news service Shana.

Phase 13 official Mohammad Ali Qayyem said drilling was under way from Phase 13 platforms A, B, and D, with all wells from platform A due to be completed within six months.

In total, Phase 13 calls for 38 wells plus construction and installation of four platforms, each with a gas production capacity of 55 MMcf/d (1.6 MMcm/d).
