CALGARY, Canada – Ithaca Energy says topsides construction for the modified semisubmersible platform FPF-1in Poland are going slower than expected.
As a result, the vessel will not be ready for sail-away from the Remontowa yard to theStella field in the UK central North Sea until spring 2015.
The current focus at the yard is on fit-out of the main pre-assembled units that were lifted on to the vessel earlier this year, and on preparations for installation of additional equipment packages.
Items already in place on the main deck include the three gas turbine generators. Four additional buoyancy blisters are being added to the platform’s columns.
The first of the 2014 Greater Stella Areasubsea infrastructure installation campaigns was completed last month.
This involved tie-in of the first two development wells at the Stella Main drill center. Next scheduled activity is the installation of theFPF-1’s mooring piles in June.
