SHARJAH, UAE – Dana Gas says its Zora gas field developmentoffshore UAE is making progress.

Adyard Abu Dhabi is building the platform under a $17-million contract.

In March, Dana Gas issued letters of intent for the onshore gas plant, offshore pipeline installation, and line pipe procurement.

First gas is slated for early 2015 with production of 40 MMcf/d (1.1 MMcm/d).

Dana Gas’ long-planned UAE Gas Project, involving imports of gas from the Persian Gulf to facilities offshore, continues to be held up by an impasse of gas deliveries from National Iranian Oil Co.

Crescent Petroleum, Dana Gas’s joint-venture partner, continues to seek a legal ruling and expects a decision from the tribunal later this year.
