DUBLIN, Ireland – Kosmos Energy will P&A its first well offshore Morocco, according to partner Fastnet Oil & Gas.
The FA-1 well in the Foum Assaka offshore block encountered oil and gas shows during drilling and in sidewall cores, suggesting the presence of a working petroleum system.
It was the first in a series of wells designed to test the salt diapir play concept in the Agadir basin, in this case targeting the Cretaceous interval in a combined structural-stratigraphic trap.
