Borgland Dolphin to drill for Tullow offshore Norway

Tullow Oil Norge has approval from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway to drill an exploratory well in the northern Norwegian North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Tullow Oil Norge has approval from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway to drill an exploratory well in the northern Norwegian North Sea.

Tullow will use the semisubmersibleBorgland Dolphin to drill well 31/10-1 in production license 507, 36 km (22 mi) south of the Oseberg Sør platform. Water depth is 121 m (397 ft).

Drilling should start this month or in June and could last 39 days, depending on the outcome.
