OSLO, Norway – OMV Norge has approval from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway for an exploration well in the Barents Sea.
The semisubmersibleTransocean Barents will drill well 7324/7-2 in 418 m (1,371 ft) of water in production license 537.
Drilling is estimated to last 52 days, depending on whether a discovery results.
