Nordic wins offshore India seismic project

Nordic Maritime has won a $23.5-million contract for offshore 3D seismic data acquisition and processing off the coast of Andhra Pradesh, India.

SINGAPORE – NordicMaritime has won a $23.5-million contract for offshore 3D seismic data acquisition and processing off the coast of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Nordic will collaborate with SCF Geo of Russia to use itsVyacheslav Tikhonovvessel on the project for Cairn India Ltd.

The contract calls for 1,000 sq km (386 sq mi) of seismic data acquisition plus gravity and magnetic data acquisition near Nizamaptanam Bay.

Nordic Maritime said the project has a starting date of March 15, will last three months.
