OSLO, Norway – Statoil has awarded Zenitel Norway a global frame agreement to supply public address and general alarm (PAGA) systems offshore.
This includes the newly developed Exigo system, and applies to Statoil’s offshore installations worldwide.
Exigo is a PAGA-system based on native IP-technology. According to Zenitel, this means that no extra interface units or other technical components need to be attached in order to provide IP signals from the microphone to the speakers.
The system is software based, with the option for remote control and diagnostics. Being native IP, the company adds, Exigo has fewer potential sources for errors than traditional PAGA systems.
