Noble Energy contracts three deepwater umbilical projects from Aker

Noble Energy has contracted Aker Solutions to provide umbilicals and subsea equipment for use in the Gulf of Mexico and offshore Israel.

HOUSTON –Noble Energy has contracted Aker Solutions to provide umbilicals and subsea equipment for use in the Gulf of Mexico and offshore Israel.

In the GoM, Aker will provide two electro-hydraulic steel tube umbilicals to control a subsea production system atGunflint in 6,000 ft (1,830 m) of water. Aker also will provide electro-hydraulic steel tube and gas lift umbilicals with subsea controls distribution equipment for the Rio Grande project at 7,200 ft (2,200 m) water depth.

Offshore Israel at Tamar Southwest, Aker sill supply subsea distribution equipment and a 7.5-mi (12,000-m) long infield umbilical to be installed in 5,500 ft (1,675 m) water depth.

The projects are to be completed in 2014 and 2015.
