ABERDEEN, UK – Atlantic Offshore Rescue has commissioned a $9.8-million support vessel for a long-term charter with Nexen Petroleum UK.
Ocean Tay, a Class A emergency response and rescue vessel, will provide cover for Nexen’s Golden Eagle Area development under a two-year minimum charter.
The 63-m (207-ft) vessel underwent conversion at Wear Dock & Engineering in Sunderland, northeast England.
It can accommodate a crew of 20 people and has capacity to rescue more than 300.
