    First steel cut for Ivar Aasen platform

    Det norske Oljeselskap says construction is under way of the deck and jacket for its Ivar Aasen field development in the central Norwegian North Sea.

    TRONDHEIM, Norway – Det norske Oljeselskap says construction is under way of the deck and jacket for its Ivar Aasen field development in the central Norwegian North Sea.

    Saipem is building the jacket at its yard in Arbatax in Sardinia.SMOE in Singapore is building the deck.

    Production is expected to start in 4Q 2016.
