    Nexen taps AMEC for North Sea brownfield support

    Nexen Petroleum UK has contracted AMEC for engineering, procurement, and construction services for Nexen’s North Sea offshore assets.

    LONDON – Nexen Petroleum UK has contracted AMEC for engineering, procurement, and construction services for Nexen’s North Sea offshore assets.

    It covers operational modifications and brownfield projects.The six-year, reimbursable contract carries options of two more two-year extensions.

    In 2005, AMEC was awarded the hook-up and commissioning support contract for Nexen’sBuzzard oil and gas production platform.
