India’s NELP-10 blocks defined

Round 10 of India’s New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP-10) is expected to offer 46 total blocks of which 29 are offshore.

NEW DELHI, India –Round 10 of India’s New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP-10) is expected to offer 46 total blocks of which 29 are offshore. Of the offshore blocks, 15 blocks totalling 47,745 sq km (18, 434 sq mi) are in shallow water and 14 blocks over 94,364 sq km (36,434 sq mi) are in deepwater.

The blocks are proposed to be offered under the revised uniform licensing policy.

The blocks include tracts in Gujarat-Kutch, Gujarat-Saurashtra, Mumbai, Kerala-Konkan, Cauvery, Krishna Godavari, Mahanadi-NEC, Andaman, Bengal, Punjab plain, Rajasthan, Cambay and Deccan Syneclise.
