The company will operate four wells on the Atlantic Margin. The currentJM-I exploration well in the Juby Maritime III block offshore Morocco will be followed by two wells offshore Senegal and one offshore western Ireland on the Spanish Point discovery.

Additionally, planning is under way for one exploration well on the Cap Boujdour contract area, operated by Kosmos Energy.

In the North Sea, Cairn’s planned four non-operated wells will be on the following structures:

  • Aragon, Tulla, and West of Kraken in the UK, operated respectively by MPX, TAQA, and EnQuest
  • Atlas, adjacent to the Skarfjell acreage in the Norwegian North Sea, operated by RWE.

The recently completedsecond Skarfjell appraisal well has delineated the field and the partners are examining possible development concepts for the field’s oil and gas.
