TUNIS, Tunisia – Dragon Oil expects exploration drilling to start in March on the Bargou permit offshore Tunisia.
The partners, comprising Dragon (55%), Cooper Energy (30%), and Jacka Resources (15%), havesecured a rig from Grup Servicii Petroliere (GSP) and well management services from AGR Petroleum (ME) - Dubai for one well. This will be managed by Cooper.
Additionally, the partners have applied for a one-year extension to the current exploration phase through 2014, to allow for additional analysis of results from the well.
