Shell has relaunched its Technology Center Houston following an upgrade and expansion.

HOUSTON –Shell has relaunched its Technology Center Houston following an upgrade and expansion. The center, the largest of Shell’s three technology hubs, has more than 1 million sq ft (92,903 sq m) of space and houses 2,000 personnel.

The Shell Technology Center Houston also is the global base for several technology focus areas and is linked worldwide by 3D virtual reality systems.

“Real innovation relies on co-creation, collaborative problem-solving, and cultivating next-generation ideas from within and outside our company to pioneer unique solutions,” said Gerald Schotman, chief technology officer and EVP, Innovation, Research & Development at Royal Dutch Shell.
