BERGEN, Norway –Reef Subsea has chartered the Olympic Reef newbuild subsea construction vessel for five years from Olympic Shipping AS. The vessel is scheduled for delivery from Kleven Maritime in August 2013.
The DP vessel will have 1,300 sq m (13,993 sq ft) of main deck area, a 7.2 m by 7.2 m (23.5 ft by 23.5 ft) moonpool, and facilities for 110 personnel.
Further, it will be equipped with a 250-ton and a 50-ton active heave compensated cranes and two Work Class ROVs.
“The vessel has been designed and specified to satisfy the needs of our clients for faster, safer, and more efficient vessels to conduct IRM and construction projects,” said Duncan MacPherson, MD of Reef Subsea IRM & Construction.
