Eco, Azimuth sign offshore Namibia license accord

Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas has signed three joint operating agreements with Azimuth and state-owned NAMCOR for licenses offshore Namibia.

TORONTO – Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas has signed three joint operating agreements with Azimuth and state-owned NAMCOR for licenses offshore Namibia.

These concern theGuy, Sharon, and Cooper license blocks in the offshore Walvis basin.

Colin Kinley, COO of Eco Atlantic, said: “We understand this oil play and the significant potential it has, and look forward to working collaboratively with both companies to continue our exploration work in the Walvis basin, where significant drilling activities are scheduled for 2013, commencing this quarter.”

Azimuth is an E&P company backed by majority-owner Seacrest Capital and Petroleum Geo-Services.
