Baker Hughes chairman to retire

HOUSTON – Chad Deaton will retire as chairman of Baker Hughes Inc. (NYSE: BHI) on April 25, 2013 at the company’s annual meeting.

Deaton joined the company in 2004 serving as chairman, president, and CEO until January 2012, when he assumed the role of executive chairman. 

Martin Craighead will become chairman in addition to his current role as president and CEO. Craighead joined the company in 1986, and has served as president and CEO since January 2012. He was appointed COO in 2009 and president in 2010.
