Oil loading scheme approved for North Sea Siri platform

The Danish Energy Agency has approved a temporary production solution at the Siri platform in the Danish North Sea, which has been impacted by structural issues.

STAVANGER, Norway – The Danish Energy Agency has approved a temporary production solution at the Siri platform in the Danish North Sea, which has been impacted by structural issues. 

According to DONG Energy, operator of the Siri Fairway fields, production from theNini, Nini East, and Cecilie fields can now restart in 1Q 2014.

The temporary solution involves transfer of stabilized crude directly to tanker. However, various operating restrictions have been imposed, including de-manning of all personnel when significant wave heights at the platform exceed 6 m (20 ft).
