HOUSTON – EPIC Management Resources has been hired by HRT Participacoes to serve as an asset transition consultant for HRT’s acquisition of the Polvo field in block BM-C-8 in the Campos basin, offshore Brazil.
EPIC performed the technical due diligence of the platform, drilling rig, and FPSO before HRT signed the purchase and sale agreement (PSA) with BP Energy do Brasil in May. EPIC helped HRT Participacoes manage the transition period following the signing of the PSA through ANP approval and the handover of operations. Activities included assessing the condition of the platform and FPSO, along with current and future production capabilities.
EPIC also monitored progress of the transition period to ensure that key milestones were met by BP and HRT in addition to assisting HRT in establishing an organization necessary to support onshore and offshore operations of the 24-slot drilling/production platform and FPSO.
