PARIS – CGG and Spectrum are jointly launching a large BroadSeis 3D multi-client survey program offshore Brazil that focuses on open acreage in the Foz do Amazonas basin. The two companies are working as equal partners on this project, which has received high prefunding from a number of major industry players.
Covering 11,330 sq km (4,375 sq mi), the Foz do Amazonas survey will be acquired by theOceanic Endeavour deploying Sercel’s Sentinel RD solid streamer.
The survey is expected to start in January 2014, and the BroadSeis data set will be processed in CGG’s Rio de Janeiro subsurface imaging center.
