Saipem nets Saudi platform order

Saipem has won an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract for projects offshore Saudi Arabia.

SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – Saipem has won an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract for projects offshore Saudi Arabia.

This involves engineering, procurement, fabrication, transport, and installation of three platforms, three jackets, and associated pipelines with a total length of around 30 km (18.6 mi) and 25 km (15.5 mi) of subsea cables.

Fabrication will be performed at the STAR yard in Saudi Arabia.

Saipem also has signed a contract with South Stream Transport for preparatory construction works for theSouth Stream offshore pipeline in the southern portion of the Black Sea.

The new pipeline will run from the Russian Black Sea shore, in the area of Anapa, to the Bulgarian coast near Varna, also crossing the Turkish Exclusive Economic Zone, with a total length of 931 km (578 mi).
