Nopta offers production license to Hibiscus Petroleum unit

The National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator of Australia has offered a production license to Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd's unit, Carnarvon Hibiscus Pty Ltd., on behalf of its VIC/P57 joint venture, for the West Seahorse oil field in the offshore Gippsland basin in Australia.

KUALA LUMPUR – The National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator of Australia (NOPTA) has offered a production license to Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd's unit, Carnarvon Hibiscus Pty Ltd., on behalf of its VIC/P57 joint venture, for the West Seahorse oil field in the offshore Gippsland basin in Australia.

NOPTA also approved the field development plan for West Seahorse, which is being developed by the VIC/P57 joint venture comprising Carnarvon Hibiscus (50.1%) as operator, along with3D Oil Ltd. (49.9%). 

Carnarvon Hibiscus has 90 days to accept the offer and be awarded the West Seahorse production license.
