HOUSTON – Peter Duncan, founder, president and CEO of MicroSeismic, has been named the National EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 Energy, Cleantech, and Natural Resources Award winner. The award encourages entrepreneurial activity and recognizes leaders and visionaries who demonstrate innovation, financial success, and personal commitment as they create and build world-class businesses.

Duncan was recognized for having the vision to carve out a niche in the oil and gas industry. He was honored at the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards gala, on Nov.16, the culminating event of the EY Strategic Growth Forum in Palm Springs, California.

Duncan said: “This award is a tremendous honor and I am extremely grateful for being selected. It is an award that does not just recognize my efforts; it is recognition of what the entire MicroSeismic team has achieved over the last 10 years. A recognition of the spirit of enterprise, the drive to do things right and the belief in what we do that has made MicroSeismic a success.”

The EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award winners were selected by an independent panel of judges and from more than 250 regional award recipients.
