Start-up imminent for Breagh in North Sea

CALGARY, CanadaSterling Resources (TSX-V: SLG) has issued an update on production test results for the recently completed Breagh development well A06 in the UK North Sea.

The well reached TD of 13,173 ft (4,015 m) MD at a location 2.8 km (1.7 mi) south of the Breagh Alpha platform. Test results indicate that the well’s initial production rate should be 22 MMcf/d (622,970 cm/d) of gas under anticipated production conditions.

The well should be tied-in and onstream before year-end.

Operator RWE Dea expects firstproduction from Breagh soon, now that heat exchanger issues have been resolved at the Teesside processing plant on the northeast English coast that will receive the field’s gas.
