Offshore staff
LONDON – Genel Energy expects to start drilling its first operated well offshore Malta early next year.
The company has contracted theNoble Paul Romano to drill the Tertiary Hagar Qim prospect on the Area 4 license in around 450 m (1,476 ft) of water, and to a target depth of 2,500 m (8,202 ft).
Later this year Genel will participate in its first well offshore Morocco, on the deepwater Cap Juby structure on the Juby Maritime block.
