Statoil contracts Subsea 7 for riser, flowline maintenance off Norway

Statoil has awarded Subsea 7 a $140-million contract to remove and replace risers, flowlines, and associated subsea structures on the Norwegian continental shelf.

LUXEMBOURG –Statoil (OSE:STL; NYSE:STO) has awarded Subsea 7 (Oslo:SUBC) a $140-million contract to remove and replace risers, flowlines, and associated subsea structures on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Subsea 7 starts immediately with the engineering in its Stavanger and Oslo offices. The offshore work is scheduled to last from 2014 to 2017.
