AMEC to handle Cladhan/Tern tie-in in North Sea

TAQA UK has contracted AMEC for work related to the Cladhan subsea tieback in the UK northern North Sea.

ABERDEEN, UKTAQA UK has contracted AMEC for work related to the Cladhansubsea tieback in the UK northern North Sea.

AMEC will perform engineering, procurement, and construction of modifications to the Tern oil production platform to accommodate the tie-in, and will provide commissioning support.

The contract award follows AMEC’s completion of the front-end engineering design for the project, which will run through December 2014.

Cladhan is TAQA’s third UK field development. It is set to deliver more than 17,000 boe/d. First oil is expected in early 2015.
