Sri Lanka offers six ultra deepwater blocks

The Sri Lanka Petroleum Resources Development Committee has made available six ultra-deepwater blocks of between approximately 18,000 and 26,000 sq km (6,950 and 10,039 sq mi) each around the country's coastline on a Joint Study basis.

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka –The Sri Lanka Petroleum Resources Development Committee has made available six ultra-deepwater blocks of between approximately 18,000 and 26,000 sq km (6,950 and 10,039 sq mi) each around the country's coastline on a Joint Study basis.

These blocks will be awarded outside thecurrent bid round, and awarded “based on the experience and capability of the applicant along with their proposed work commitment” said the PRCD.

A Pre-Bid Clarification meeting is scheduled in Colombo on Thursday, Aug. 29.
