STOCKHOLM, Sweden – PA Resources says 3D seismic modeling is finalized for the Elyssa field offshore Tunisia, and work is under way to define a location for an appraisal well.

This likely will be drilled early next year, although timing is contingent on approval from the Tunisian authorities for the recently agreed farm-out to EnQuest; availability of a suitable rig; and EnQuest’s proposed work program as the new operator.

A joint model for all partners in theZarat field licenses is being prepared with state company ETAP, and this will serve as the basis for a joint plan of development. That plan is expected to be submitted to the Tunisian authorities for approval at the end of this year.

Various production schemes are under consideration, including re-injection of gas to allow for production of oil and condensate prior to the start of gas sales.
