LONDON –Salamander Energy (LON:SMDR) has P&A’d offshore Gulf of Thailand exploration well G4/50-4 as a dry hole.
The well, targeting the Rayong prospect in the Kra Central sub-basin reached TVD subsea of 1,889 m (6,196 ft). It encountered 119 m (390 ft) of P20 Miocene sandstone that was found to be water-wet.
TheAtwood Mako is moving to drill the Surin prospect in the Western Central sub-basin.
