Maersk Convincer to remain with Petronas

Petronas Carigali has opted to extend its contract for the jackup Maersk Convincer by one year, through mid-November 2014.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Petronas Carigali has opted to extend its contract for the jackup Maersk Convincer by one year, through mid-November 2014.

According to contractor Maersk Drilling, the associated campaign will include high-pressure/high-temperature drilling and under-balanced drilling offshore Malaysia.

Maersk Convincer is one of two Baker Marine 375-ft (114-m) jackups in Maersk’s fleet. The rig has been working in Southeast Asia since its delivery from Jurong Shipyard in 2008 and with Petronas Carigali since 2011.
