BSEE’s Watson to join ABS

James A. Watson, current director of the US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) will become president and CEO of the Americas Division of ABS on Sept. 2, 2013.

HOUSTON –James A. Watson, current director of the US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) will become president and CEO of the Americas Division of ABS on Sept. 2, 2013.

Robert Gilman, who currently holds the position, will move to the ABS Group as senior vice president and head of Technical Inspection Services.

Before BSEE, Watson was US Coast Guard director of Prevention Policy for Marine Safety, Security and Stewardship, and was the federal on-scene coordinator for Macondo.
