WorleyParsons to engineer offshore Nigeria FPSO topsides

Samsung Heavy Industries has contracted WorleyParsons to perform detailed design and engineering of topsides process modules for an FPSO for a deepwater oil field offshore Nigeria.

NORTH SYDNEY, Australia – Samsung Heavy Industries has contracted WorleyParsons to perform detailed design and engineering of topsides process modules for an FPSO for a deepwater oil field offshore Nigeria.

Worley Parsons will perform much of the $100-million program in Lagos, with Nigerian engineering companies NETCO/DeltaAfrik/IESL. WorleyParsons Melbourne will provide technical support.

Scope of work includes the modularized topsides crude oil processing facilities, natural gas compression facilities, power generation, compression, metering systems, flare systems, and other utilities. The topsides weight is 34,000 metric tons (37,478 tons).
