RUEIL-MALMAISON, France – Statoil has signed a four-year R&D framework agreement with IFPEN and a five-year academia agreement with IFP School.

The R&D agreement covers environmental technologies, petroleum geology and geophysics, enhanced petroleum recovery, drilling and intervention, processing and transport, deepwater and subsea production technologies, gas technologies, and other disciplines.

The academia agreement, between Statoil, IFP School and the Tuck Foundation, is in two parts. The first covers Statoil’s support of the IFP School’s development, while the second allows the Tuck Foundation to award Statoil-funded grants to students.

Statoil will fund up to eight scholarships in the IFP School Exploration-Production Master’s programs at the start of the 2013 academic year, and will provide real reservoir data for development of case studies of Master’s programs.
