OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has signed a new five-year cooperation agreement with Russia’s Directorate for Mineral Resources (Rosnedra).

Both government divisions have worked together since 2008.

“The cooperation mainly covers geotechnical projects in the northern areas. However, it may be relevant to include other parts of resource management in this work,” said NPD director general Bente Nyland.
