Offshore staff
TOKYO, Japan – INPEX Browse has won a new permit offshore Western Australia under the Australian Offshore Petroleum Acreage Release 2012 awards.
The WA-494-P concession is roughly 400 km (248 mi) north-northeast of Broome, and covers an area of 305 sq km (118 sq mi) in water depths ranging from 190-250 m (623-820 ft). INPEX will have a 100% operated interest. The company plans to explore for further reserves that could potentially be tied into its nearbyIchthys gas-condensate field development.
Shell’s Prelude/Concerto gas fields are also nearby.
