    Chevron contracts Emerson for control valves, subsea meters for Gorgon

    Chevron Australia Pty Ltd has contracted Emerson Process Management to supply control valves and actuators for the Gorgon LNG Project offshore Western Australia.

    AUSTIN, Texas – Chevron Australia Pty Ltd. has contracted Emerson Process Management to supply control valves and actuators for the Gorgon LNG Project offshore Western Australia.

    The $67-million purchase includes Roxar subsea wet gas meters in addition to more than 1,000 control valves, actuators, and controllers.

    TheGorgon Project is operated by Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (47.3%), and includes partners ExxonMobil (25%), Shell (25%), Osaka Gas (1.25%), Tokyo Gas (1%), and Chubu Electric Power (0.417%).
