LONDON – Serica Energy has agreed to farm out two blocks to Centrica offshore northwest England.

Assuming approval by the UK government, Centrica subsidiary Hydrocarbon Resources (HRL) will take a 45% operated interest in East Irish Sea blocks 113/26b and 27c (license P.1482).

Serica will retain a 20% stake in the concession, with its share of costs borne by HRl for a planned exploration well on theDoyle gas prospect in 113/27c.

Completion also depends on agreement with the operator of a wind farm planned nearby.
