Subsea 7 (Oslo Børs: SUBC) has won a $170-million contract from Statoil for installations on the Mariner field in the UK northern North Sea.

LUXEMBOURG --Subsea 7 (Oslo Børs: SUBC) has won a $170-million contract from Statoil for installations on the Mariner field in the UK northern North Sea.

Thescope covers engineering, procurement, installation, and construction of 39 km (24 mi) of rigid flowlines and flexible riser systems, associated subsea structures, protection systems, and tie-ins.

Project management and engineering will be split between Subsea 7’s offices in Stavanger and Aberdeen, with offshore installations due to start in 2015 and finish the following year.
