Rosneft, PetroVietnam partnership to extend upstream link

Rosneft has signed a memorandum of understanding with PetroVietnam to strengthen cooperation between the two oil and gas companies.

SOCHI, Russia – Rosneft has signed a memorandum of understanding with PetroVietnam to strengthen cooperation between the two oil and gas companies.

This applies to upstream and downstream activities in Russia, Vietnam, and elsewhere.

Earlier this year Rosneft completed the acquisition of TNK-BP. The latter’s subsidiary TNK Vietnam has a 35% operating position in Vietnam’s offshore block 06.1 and a 32.67% share in the Nam Con Son pipeline that transports gas and condensate from offshore blocks in the area to Dinh Co Terminal and to Phu My Power Complex for power generation and production of fertilizers.
