Offshore staff
SINGAPORE – COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co. Ltd. has contracted to build a floatover launch barge for a Malaysian ship owner.
The $23-million vessel will be 10 m (33 ft) high, 38/46 m (124/151 ft) wide, and 160 m (525 ft) long.
It will be designed for transportation and floatover of offshore topsides modules of up to 14,500 tons and also of launching jackets of up to 20,000 tons.
Delivery is expected in 4Q 2013.
