Balenciaga completes second Craig Group PSV

Craig Group’s latest platform supply vessel was released this week by the Balenciaga Shipyard in northern Spain.

ABERDEEN, UK --Craig Group’s latest platform supply vessel was released this week by the Balenciaga Shipyard in northern Spain.

Craig committed £50 million to construction ofGrampian Sceptre and sister vessel Grampian Sovereign.

These will be the largest vessels in its fleet, with a length of 83 m (272 ft) and a beam of 18 m (59 ft), and both are on long-term contracts with Talisman Sinopec Energy UK in the North Sea. They are equipped with diesel electric propulsion systems for improved fuel economy and efficiency, and are designed to meet requirements of North Sea operators.

Grampian Sovereign started its assignment this week while Grampian Sceptre begins operating in September.
