LIMASSOL, Cyprus – Songa Offshore says its Songa Venus rig is in transit to Labuan, Malaysia, for a four- to five-week inspection and recertification of its well control system.

This is in preparation for a program for Mubadala Petroleum offshore Vietnam.
Songa Mercur has been working for Zarubezhneft offshore Cuba. Currently its BOP is being pulled for evaluation of shear ram malfunctions and technical inspection of connector bolts, in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.
